You've just found it - this all season vacation
hideaway has it all. Perfect in everyway; “home
away from home” for a family vacation with the kids,
for that romantic hideaway, or just a quiet relaxing
getaway~ you will be delighted with this fantastic
retreat in the woods.

We can be found on 280 acres in the country but
conveniently located just 20 minutes from Branson,
Missouri and Ozark Mountain Country. Ozark Mountain
Country offers you some great country music shows,
Silver Dollar City, Marvel Cave, White Water,
Talking Rocks Caverns, Dixie Stampede, lots of
unique dining experiences, shopping and Table Rock
Lake.
A new added attraction
in the area for 2010 located in our very own back
yard is Zip Line USA and is located approximately
five minutes from our location. We hope you take the
time to visit the zip line and canopy tour while
staying with us. Here is a link to their website:

Nestled on our own beautiful nature preserve, you
can take a short walk down to the 19 stall horse
stables and boarding facility where you can admire
the stunning equine that are boarded with us. If
you are an avid rider, it is even possible to take a
lesson ride (with advance reservations) through the
breathtaking countryside where you will ride through
creeks, view flowering dogwood and redbud trees in
the spring; beautiful lush green foliage in the
summer; and enjoy
the brilliant changing of the colors in the fall. Or
what about having a snowball fight or building a
snowman with the kids during the winter months if
that is what you enjoy. It is even quite possible
that you will view some of our wildlife from turkey
to whitetail deer, squirrels, rabbits, hawks, owls,
herons and even an occasional eagle during the
winter months.
Here is even a better
idea…bring your own horse and board it in the
pasture just outside your back door, or if you
prefer you can board in the stables and explore the
countryside on your own whenever you choose and
enjoy a horse vacation with your own equine. You
can enjoy our countryside or ride on several of the
national forests located within minutes of our
facility; Mark Twain National Forest or Busiek State
Forest and Wildlife Conservation Area. If you want
to load up and travel about 40 minutes you can ride
the seven-mile trail horseback ride in the Wilson’s
Creek National Battlefield Park.
Have you ever wanted the kids to experience an “Old
Fashioned Country Christmas”? Well here at Wrangler
Mountain, that is possible. Brian will take you by
tractor to pick out and cut down your own cedar
Christmas tree, while taking it back to decorate
with homemade Christmas decorations from the Star or
Angel you place on top to the popcorn and
cranberries that you string for garland. No store
bought
ornaments or fancy twinkle lights just paper
ornaments that you and the kids make from scratch
and decorate for your tree. Then when you leave sit
the tree outside for the birds to eat the popcorn
and cranberries and take your new ornaments
home. This is a tradition among our family and we
have enjoyed it for years.
We
are very environment aware and safe so when we clean
your cabin, we use natural products. All of your
bed linens, bath and kitchen towels are laundered
with fragrance and chemical free soap and hung
outside to dry in the fresh country air.
Have you ever slept on
sheets dried outside? If not, this may just be the
best night’s sleep you have ever experienced! For
our winter guests…don’t fear, as we do not cheat
you. You get the same sleep experience as our
spring, summer and fall guests and your linens are
dried outside on the line, as well.
If you are a summer or
fall guest, there is just the possibility that you
can purchase fresh produce from our own personal
garden. This produce can include fresh tomatoes,
peppers, cucumbers, lettuce, corn on the cob,
squash, onions, green beans, cantaloupe, watermelon,
potatoes and scores of other items. It is also
quite possible upon your check-in all guests will
find some of our homemade goodies, apple butter,
jams, pickled peppers, or salsa just waiting for
you.
Dining area features an antique oak table with a
mixture of antique chairs nestled around it, great
for meals, as well as board games or cards - a great
selection of which can be found in the cabinet next
to the breakfast bar. The breakfast bar has four
cedar bar stools, handmade by Brian, located around
it if you need additional eating space or just want
to mingle around the bar, which is also great for
playing cards and/or games.
Great Room features
wood floors, antiques, and lots of down home country
charm and atmosphere. You'll also find a stereo,
with AM/FM tuner and CD player.
We are a rustic
country getaway in the woods with modern amenities
but we have tried to give you the relaxation and
down home comfort you deserve while getting away
from all of the hustle and bustle of the city life.
We are all about removing the stress from your life
and giving you the opportunity to relax and enjoy
what nature and life has to offer. This
is
God’s country and this is your chance to enjoy the
peace and quiet and forget about the rest of the
world, should that be what you decide to do. But if
you're one of those folks who still like to know
what's going on in the outside world, don't despair
of this get-back-to-nature hideaway you'll find a
television, VCR and DVD players, along with movies
to plug in and watch (no cable). Did we mention
wireless internet? We don’t provide it but you can
bring your own if you are coming to work or just
have to stay plugged in. Or you can enjoy all of
the exciting Branson and Ozark Mountain Country
activities you desire and at the end of the day
return “home” and prepare to be serenaded by the
many night sounds from the country while breathing
deeply of the fresh country air.
In the summer, you can
hike, ride your horse or mountain bike to the creek
and cool off. Anytime of the year, the hiking and
riding trails are spectacular but remember we are in
Ozark Mountain Country so if you decide to get out
and enjoy the countryside please keep in mind that
we don’t live on flat land so come prepared. Some of
our guests that have went on trail rides with us
include Country Music Singer,“Pam Tillis” and
"Radar", Guinness World Records' Tallest Living
Horse stopped by to stay with us for a few days
at the stables while on tour in April 2007.
For cookouts, there's a charcoal grill so you have
the opportunity to experience what outdoor cooking
tastes like…no gas grills.
Next time you're ready to pack up the car or load
your truck and horse trailer and get away from it
all, remember Country
